E.B.B. will make you MOVE! The music of Sacramento’s Element Brass Band is a blend of New Orleans Second Line, Hip Hop, and original music. The band was founded in 2011 by Ryan Robertson and Anthony Coleman. Although they usually perform as a 7-piece group, the band is now over 20 members deep; comprised of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, tubas, drums, emcee, and percussion. This entourage of musicians bring the spirit, love, and energy of Mardi Gras along with their own voice every time they play. People of all ages and walks of life are drawn to the unique sound of the band. Every instrument has the capability to become mobile, creating a second line parade, and taking the music directly to the people. Element recently released a new album of all original music entitled, “Cali Got A Brass Band.” E.B.B. has toured to New Orleans, New York City and Atlanta; performed at festivals like Fillmore Jazz, High Sierra, Guitarfish, & For The Funk Of It; and enjoyed playing many stages in the bay area including the Fillmore, the Elbo Room, the New Parish, the Independent and the Boom Boom Room. Element has shared stages and shows with artists like GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, The California Honeydrops, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Blackalicious, Andy Frasco, Angelo Moore of Fishbone and many, many others.
