Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, IN UTERUS is Californiaโs ONLY all-female Nirvana tribute! Your heart-shaped box will pump with love for this grungy, head-banging estro-quartet!
IN UTERUS was founded by bassist, Lauren Devine who is also currently a founding band member in FLANNEL: 90s Alternative Rock & Grunge Tribute (rhythm guitar / keys / female lead vox & backup box) and is formerly of Flock of Seagirls: Ladies of the 80s Tribute (drummer). Lauren has loved Nirvana since she discovered them in the early 1990s and has finally made her long-time dream of starting an all-female Nirvana tribute a reality!
It was as no brainer when Lauren decided to tap the talents of Ruba Fโn Tuesday and Katie Ijams (both currently band members in Flock of Seagirls) to get this all-female Nirvana tribute up and running. Adding Jenna Stover-Kemp on drums was another easy decision and completed the In Uterus line up!
IN UTERUS band members have been performing in one fashion or another SINCE the actual 90s. They have extensive stage & performance experience and have performed in various music venues such as Harrahโs Casino (Reno), Whisky A Go Go, Slims, Sweetwater, Hopmonk Tavern (Novato), ApCal Winery, That 80s Bar, Retro Junkie, Rockbar, and various weddings, private events & festivals throughout California and other parts of the world.
