Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, we have been closely monitoring the guidance provided by the local and state public health departments, which strongly recommend canceling large gatherings or events. In consideration of these recommendations and the size and scope of our event, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that the UC Davis Picnic Day, scheduled for April 18, 2020, is cancelled.
We hope you will join us at next year’s 106th Picnic Day on April 17, 2021.

All events and parking are free! Picnic Day is one of UC Davis’ most revered traditions and serves as the university’s annual Open House for prospective and current students, families, alumni, staff, faculty, and the greater Davis and regional communities.
Picnic Day begins with the parade opening ceremony at 9:30 am, and the parade begins at 10:00 am. Most events hosted by Picnic Day run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm. All events hosted by Picnic Day start after 9:00 am and end before 5:00 pm.
There are other independent events on Picnic Day that run into the evening, including Battle of the Bands and Davis Dance Revolution, which end around 10:00 pm.
