Description
Sacramento Juneteenth Festival 2021
Sacramento Juneteenth, Inc. will host its 18th Annual Juneteenth Festival on June 19,2021. We will celebrate and recognize the most momentous occasion in American history – the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation. The Sacramento Juneteenth Festival will again be held in historic William Land Park on June 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In the past we’ve celebrated Juneteenth with a 3-day festival. Juneteenth typically began with the Friday night “Gospel Under the Stars” concert in the amphitheater followed by Saturday’s Juneteenth parade and festival in the Park which included; 2 stages of live entertainment, Juneteenth talent show, health/wellness pavilion, education/arts theater, children’s area, food/ware vendors, community soldier awards presentation, keynote speaker and much more. Due to the uncertainty of COVID restrictions we’ve temporarily curtailed several components of the festival as a precaution (these could change).
Please feel free to contact me directly at garysimon05@gmail.com with any question regarding participation or sponsorship. Contact Gloria Robertson for vendor information at: gloriarobertson@comcast.net. We look forward to celebrating with you the freeing of “All those enslaved in the United States of America”.
