Miranda Culp was born in Los Angeles, the daughter of a scientist and an English teacher. She spent her youth acting, singing, taking pictures, writing and many other non-lucrative pursuits until she finally settled down and got her BA in Liberal Arts at Goddard College. She has lived in Sacramento since 2013, contributing to Dame Magazine and Submerge Art + Music as a journalist and art writer. Miranda has edited books on fiction, memoir, and health, and somehow ended up as co-owner of Amatoria Fine Art Books in Boulevard Park. Her local history book “Becoming the City of Citrus Heights” comes out this spring, and her second collection of short stories entitled ‘Women With Unusual Names’ will be released in 2023 if it doesn’t kill her first.
