Tour a City water treatment plant and learn how drinking water is produced at this free event.
City Department of Utilities staff on Sept. 7 are inviting people to “Water Discovery Day,” an event designed to help people learn about how the City collects, treats and distributes drinking water.
The event will feature tours of the City’s Sacramento River Water Treatment Plant as well as booths with information on how the department operates.
Up to 260 people can register for the tours, which will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon. Registration is required to attend.*
Each tour lasts about 40 minutes and will educate attendees on several stages of the water treatment process.
