Rock of Ages (Glimpses of Rock History Through the Lens)
Mostly everyone has a story about Tower Records, especially those of us that grew up in Sacramento where it all started. Russ Solomon (the founder) started Tower Records and opened stores all over the world; one of those stores was on K Street in Sacramento. That location is now the home of Solomon’s Delicatessen and The Russ Room. It features the beautiful newly restored mural that has been there since the beginning, along with the newly re-modeled Deli downstairs, a bar, indoor & outdoor seating, and classic Jewish deli food. Upstairs in the Russ Room a music venue, with a very cool lounge feel and an awesome sound system.
Toyroom is honored to be curating and hosting gallery openings in the Russ Room.
The first show (“Rock of Ages”) will feature iconic Rock n Roll photography from some of the most influential photographers of their generation.
“Rock of Ages” is our homage to Russ Solomon.
