It’s extravagant. It’s flamboyant. It’s so over-the-top that it must be camp! Emcee Miss A La Mode returns to lead this exuberant evening featuring star-studded drag and burlesque performances, DJed music by DJ Subeaux, and short panel discussions centered around how to be a better ally and using art to take up space. Shop the Banned Book Bazaar featuring local bookshops and zine makers, as well as the open-air marketplace curated by Queer Shoppe.

Bags:
Bags larger than 8″x 6″X 2″ are prohibited inside the Crocker Art Museum during ArtMix events. Baby and medical bags, no larger than 16” x 16” x 8″, are permitted but may be searched and tagged by security.
Code of Conduct:
The Crocker Art Museum is committed to providing our visitors, vendors, performers, and staff with a safe and secure environment. Harassment, aggression, and unruly behavior will not be tolerated. Museum staff will proactively intervene, up to and including removal from the Museum, in order to support this goal.

"The City’s Recycling and Solid Waste Division this spring is offering a series of free in-person backyard composting seminars to help residents learn how to turn food scraps into compost right in their own backyard.
Attendees will learn about decomposition at a local community garden and discover how to recycle leaves, yard clippings, fruit, and vegetable scraps. Additionally, they’ll receive a demonstration on using a “Geobin” composter and learn about composting materials.
Tips will be shared on how to achieve the right balance of food, air, and moisture, how to maintain compost piles, and home gardening."

"City staff will be giving away free wood mulch to Sacramento residents on May 4 at the Sacramento Marina (2710 Ramp Way).
There will be a limit of one cubic yard of mulch per customer during the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Attendees can also get free bagged and loose compost, which can improve soil health."
