One-Day Film + Reception Pass – Attend all films and evening reception for one single day
Celebrating its 28th anniversary, BENT-Sacramento International LGBTQ Film
Festival is a spectacular community and cultural event consisting of three days of LGBTQ film, local food, beer, wine, and live entertainment. BENT Film Fest takes place Friday-Sunday, October 11-13, 2018 at the Crest and IMAX TheatreS in downtown Sacramento.
Why the name change? Board President, Michael Dennis says “Sacramento is growing and evolving; so is the festival. We have updated our Festival name from SIGLFF, the acronym was a little hard to pronounce. Gay and Lesbian (the GL part) no longer encompassed who we are as a community. LGBTQ does. Why BENT? We love the various meaning of the word. BENT is not straight. BENT is queer. BENT is an inclination or natural talent. BENT is determined to do something. BENT is who we are.”
Our mission is to bring you the best in LGBTQ films from around the world. Films that highlight the rich diversity, intricacies, and passions that make up our LGBTQ community. We are proud of our 28-year history of sharing LGBTQ culture and promoting awareness to the greater Sacramento area through an annual 3-day film festival and other cultural activities throughout the year.
