UNIQUE Programs at Sacramento State is pleased to announce a special movie screening of Harriet at Sac State’s University Union Ballroom on Thursday, February 6th. This FREE event takes place at 7:30pm.

Harriet a new 2019 drama. It is a modern day take on the history of Harriet Tubman in Black American history of the United States of America. The film revolves around the story of how Harriet Tubman escapes slavery through a very treacherous journey. She becomes a slave leader and tries to help hundreds of other slaves find freedom through the historic Underground Railroad.

This film is meant to shine a heroic, leadership light on Harriet Tubman, and display how grave acts of strength, courage, and bravery. This event is also in support of Black History month.
