Description
The Chicha Fest is a gathering of art and culture where we celebrate our roots!
This year, the festival expands to two days featuring art workshops, storytelling, Chicha de Maíz and Tepache tastings, a celebration with The Chicha Band, and reflections on the role of fermented beverages in contemporary life and health.
Day 1: Workshops and Storytelling
Art Workshops: Learn embroidery and create “Ojos de Dios” talisman. Design your own unique poster and learn drawing techniques (all materials will be provided).
Storytelling: Explore the living history of our traditions—reflecting on the story of Chicha and the role of fermented beverages in our lives today.
Day 2: The Celebration
Tasting of Chicha de Maíz (Colombia) and Tepache (Mexico), fermented drinks made using traditional recipes.
Dance and celebrate with live music by Chicha Band!
Experience our collaborative art exhibition: La Ofrenda.
Join us for one or both days! Plus, the pieces you create during Day 1 workshops can become part of La Ofrenda.
This is a unique experience to connect with our cultural roots, meet new people, and celebrate together. A space for everyone—bring your family!
