Description
For chefs, workers and visitors hungry for fresh food, flowers and more, Downtown Sacramento’s favorite seasonal Certified Farmers’ Market returns to Capitol Mall beginning Wednesday, June 16, 2021. With more than 25 vendors to start and grow from there, the seasonal Farmers’ Market is available Wednesdays at 6th Street & Capitol Mall. The weekly farmers’ market will provide “Al Fresco” lunch dining with hot lunch options from an array of Sacramento’s most popular food vendors next to local farmers selling fresh, regionally grown food. Local hot food vendors will include rotating food trucks and some downtown favorites such as Yolanda’s Tamales, Nash & Proper, Rosa’s Portuguese Bakery and What’s Poppin’ Kettle Corn.
New to the Downtown Farmers’ Market this year is the Chefs’ Priority Pick-up. This program directly connects farmers to chefs, bringing new farmers to meet the needs of local restaurants. Chefs have a priority hour from 9am-10 a.m. and parking will be available between 6th and 7th Street on Capitol Mall going west, in the left-hand lane. In addition, Downtown Sacramento Partnership will provide chefs carts to assist with shopping.
