Winner of a 2017 Grammy Award for his debut CD, “his voice…his passion for music… will take you to the heavens” (Darlene Ahuna). He was diagnosed with a speech impediment at age four; his mother introduced him to singing to help him with words. He’s come a long way: in 2017, following his first Na Hoku Award, he was honored by the Hawai‘i State House of Representatives as a “torchbearer [recognized] for his accomplishments and continued work on behalf of Native Hawaiians.” Guest halau (hula group): Aloha Polynesia.
