A great night with local indie rock bands when THE ROA BROTHERS BAND returns to rock the night at SHINE. Also, supporting set from BAD PATTERNS and one more act TBA.
Bad Patterns: An indie-rock/alt band from Sacramento California formed by two music nerds in the middle of 2017. Ayla Robertson, who at the time was learning to play the drums, and Fletcher Gallawa formed a band called Bad Patterns. The band was mostly for fun, and we never really did anything with it. Ayla was eventually called to play drums with a band called Bad Outlets, members including Cullen Ely, Andruw Carney, and Declan Cuny. After the demise and sudden downfall of Bad Outlets, and the subsequent band, JJFP, Bad Patterns was reformed. Fletcher and Ayla, two romantics, started playing again, and eventually got good enough at some original songs to go out and start gigging. After 2 or 3 shows, the duo decided that they wanted a bassist for a more full sound, and called upon the bassist from Aylas last two bands, Declan Cuny. Declan gladly accepted the call to arms, or to frets, as it were, and took the stance, stage left, as bassist. Since then, we have been the trio of musicians that is Bad Patterns. Come and listen to us, see us, if you haven’t already, and see if you enjoy our show. It’s different every time. We are only human, and humans make mistakes. But mistakes are what makes us the most human.
