While closed to the public due to the COVID-19 outbreak the California Automobile Museum is offering Virtual Memberships via a Patreon page at https://www.patreon.com/calautomuseum. The video tours highlight featured exhibits, interviews with car owners and deep dives into the historical significance, unique features and interesting facts about cars in the collection. All-Access Virtual Memberships are $4/month, while VIP Memberships are $10 and include exclusive episodes each month and VIP Members only events once the museum re-opens to the public.
“Virtual Memberships are a way for the public to support and enjoy the museum even though we cannot physically host them in the building,” said Executive Director Mark Steigerwald. At launch Virtual Tours episodes include a review of the museum’s “Reel Car” exhibit featuring cars used in filming Ford vs Ferrari, The A-Team, The Keystone Cops, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and others along with a close up look at a 1957 Ferrari Testarossa replica used in The Art of Racing in the Rain.
