This performance features works by some of the most extraordinary women composers, highlighting the incredible women artists on view throughout the Crocker’s collection.

For more than 50 years, the Crocker has proudly presented its Classical Concert Series, featuring the finest musicians and singers from the region and around the world. These educational performances are approximately 60 minutes with no intermission and draw inspiration from art on view at the Museum. Space is limited, and advance registration is recommended. 

This performance features some of the most extraordinary women in music ranging from the 19th century, with Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel and Clara Schumann, through Germaine Tailleferre, Haruna Miyake and a new work by Juri Seo. These works highlight the incredible women artists on view throughout the Crocker’s collection.
