The pioneers found California teeming with wildlife, hence names like Elk Grove, Antelope and Los Gatos. Both wild and domesticated animals played a large part in 19th century life. From horse and cattle ranches, beekeepers and ostrich farms, to pet bears, boa constrictors, parakeets and escaped monkeys, we’ll share stories of critters and their humans.

It's a beautiful 15-minute drive from downtown Sacramento to our favorite destination in the California Delta. The Old Sugar Mill really is a perfect place to get hitched. ❤️❤️
