The Boardwalk presents a full night of Shades of Pink Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band from Sacramento
21+ ONLY
The Shades Of Pink Floyd tribute band has grown in popularity with the presentation of their tribute to Pink Floyd’s greatest works! I am very proud to be the project director with these accomplished musicians. Each has had many notable endeavors in and on the Rock and Roll scene. Steve Howe and Greg King both backed the legendary Bo Diddley in his last performance at the Powerhouse pub. Greg King has also played with Pablo Cruise, Stoneground and Pete Best of The Beatles. Steve Wittig is the original drummer for the internationally acclaimed heavy metal band, “Omen”. My wife Sandy & I have had the honor to open for “Big Brother and the Holding Co. (post Janis) and Ritchie Havens and others. We have an outstanding sax soloist E.J. Koford who has been blowing everybody away. Our second guitarist Trent Durst is a long time music teacher and Music Institute graduate. Our reserve Sax man is Kenny Dessin, another absolutely fabulous horn player! Each of the band members are long time Pink Floyd students and this knowledge reflects in their performance.
The show is a tribute to Pink Floyd’s collective works with a complete performance of “Dark Side Of The Moon” and many songs from the “The Wall”, “Wish You Were Here”, “Animals”, “Meddle” and more. The band also salutes early endeavors and Pink Floyd’s founder Syd Barrett with songs from their 1967 debut album “Piper at the Gates of Dawn”. Each “Shades of Pink Floyd” live show features an ever changing 1960’s style light show and evolving playlist!
