A Cannabis Art Experience!
Auma’s Story: The Animated Short was an official selection of the InShort Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria. This silent animated art by Ozola Cody a Sacramento, Ca.-based artist traces historical cannabis narratives, excavating and considering the local impact of legalization in her community and how it permeates contemporary culture.
The short is loosely based on Auma’s Story the documentary about women and cannabis in Northern California.
On February 25, 2019 this Video Art Reception for Auma’s Story: The Animated Short takes place from 7pm-9pm. It is a private event that includes collaboration with other Sacramento based visual artist. It will also feature the voices of influential women on the subject of cannabis.
