    Scott’s Seafood on the River

    Posted to March 27th, 2013

Follow on Instagram for the latest updates

In 1976, the first Scott’s Seafood Grill and Bar opened at the corner of Scott and Lombard in San Francisco, hence the name. The tiny 40-seat restaurant was an immediate success, becoming one of the top ten restaurants in the United States in volume per seat in just a few months.

Scott’s in Sacramento came into existence in 1991 when Alan Irvine, John Cook and their families combined their experience and resources, realizing their dreams of opening a restaurant and bought the name Scott’s for the Sacramento Area. Scott’s Seafood Grill and Bar has become Sacramento’s Favorite Seafood Restaurant (Sacramento Magazine Reader’s Poll) and continues its growth with Scott’s Seafood On The River, opened in early 2008.

Scott’s Seafood Grill and Bar has always had the freshest of seafood flown in or delivered daily from around the world, served by a well-trained knowledgeable staff in a comfortable atmosphere. We continue to strive every day to do things just a little better than the day before.

    Kupros Craft House – Midtown

    Posted to March 27th, 2013

Kupros Craft House is Sacramento’s premier craft-beer and full bar restaurant pub situated in a classic 1910 Craftsman home. Kupros was completely renovated in 2010, with the ultimate goal of creating a one-of-a-kind environment that captures the charm and excitement of Sacramento’s lively midtown neighborhood. We offer the very best craft beers and cocktails with an eclectic menu of elevated bar classics with a true hometown feel.

    About This Old House:

Originally built in 1910, this building has seen a lot come and go. It was once formerly known as the vintage/costume shop, ‘Cheap Thrills’, which operated from 1969-2002.

The building was purchased in 2002 by CEO Stephen Tokuhama. Over the next 8 years, Steve dedicated himself to preserving the unique charm of the Midtown Sacramento area. Kupros Bistro finally became a reality in 2010, which coincidentally coincided with the 100th birthday of this unique structure.

In 2013, Steve decided to make the bold move to rebrand Kupros Bistro into the now popular neighborhood destination that is now Kupros Craft House. Today, features such as the stained glass upon entering and the wooden bar give the feeling that can only be described as your “home away from home.”

    Thursdays & 2nd Saturdays

Bring your friends and enjoy a bit of the Middle East in Midtown!

We believe food, drink and community go hand in hand.

Classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors & outdoor seating draw a unique mix of people, local and international alike, to this neighborhood standby.

Kasbah is an oasis filled with rich fabrics and pillows, a hand made brass bar, warm, subtle lighting, and fine Middle Eastern music. A belly dancer or tribal troupe punctuate the ambience nightly.

We have chosen a menu of small plates because it lends itself to sharing and socializing at any hour. Whether grazing while drinking or sitting down for a meal, we feature many of the spices and flavors of North Africa and the Middle East. Some are traditional, some are creative – all are tasty and soulful, including a variety of homemade dessert specials.

We serve top shelf cocktails and offer a unique selection of interesting sipping spirits, and a selection of over 500 fine wines from around the world. Our Turkish Coffee and Mint Tea are the best in Sacramento. We also offer several other top-notch teas, all served in fine ceramics, pottery and glassware. Hookah pipes are available on the patio.

    Grange Restaurant – Downtown

    Posted to March 27th, 2013

    Locally Grown, Grange Crafted.

Centrally located in downtown Sacramento, Grange Restaurant & Bar, a top-rated farm-to-fork restaurant, is an integral element of the iconic, storied Citizen Hotel. Opened in 2008 in the first boutique hotel to enter the Sacramento market, Grange has been leading the culinary scene, and long been known as the “room where it happened” in terms of deals made and hands shaken. From the grand, two-story wine vault, to the lively bar and lounge scene, Grange offers a unique experience to satisfy the mélange of citizens who visit both hotel and restaurant.

The two-story space honors the 1925 building’s rich history with surprising and urbane loft-like features such as exposed beams and concrete columns. Semi-private booths and two private dining options, including a stately room on the mezzanine overlooking the main dining level, offer a variety of casual and celebratory dining opportunities.

    Reserve here.
