Sacramento State will be hosting a blood drive on Thursday, August 1^st, 2019. The blood drive is open to students, faculty/ staff and the general public at no cost. The event will take place from 10am to 2pm between the University Union and the Hornet Bookstore. The event will be co-sponsored by Sac State’s Associated Students, Inc., The Hornet Bookstore, University Enterprises, Inc., The University Union, The WELL, CAMP, and Vitalant (formerly known as BloodSource).

Blood donation saves the lives of accident victims, surgery patients, cancer patients and many others in need. Donating blood is safe, easy and takes about an hour. Sac State’s faculty and staff members are eligible for a “Fast Track” pass, which expedites the check-in process. Blood donors must weigh 110 pounds or more, be in overall good health and 17 years old or older, 16 with a signed Vitalant parental consent form. Participants should bring a photo ID and eat well and drink plenty of water prior to donating.

Every participant will receive a promo code for a pair of blood donor socks!
