    Debuting in a freshly redesigned space on May 24, 2025, the 18th Annual California Hall of Fame exhibition celebrates the first all-women class of Hall of Fame inductees. Co-curated with inductee representatives, the exhibit brings inductees’ stories to life in an immersive new space—even featuring items from their personal collections! 

    Experience the lives and legacies of the 18th class of the California Hall of Fame:  

    • Julia Child: Renowned cook, author, and television personality 
    • Ina Donna Coolbrith: Pioneering poet 
    • Vicki Manalo Draves: Trailblazing Olympic diver 
    • Mitsuye Endo: History-making civil rights activist 
    • Dian Fossey: Primatologist and devoted gorilla conservationist 
    • Alice Piper: Unsung civil rights hero 
    • Tina Turner: Iconic singer and performer

    The California Museum is open from 10 am – 5 pm on Tuesday – Saturday and 12 – 5 pm on Sunday.

    Conflict photographer Mia wakes up in the Istanbul apartment of her on-again, off-again girlfriend after being found unconscious at the scene of a massacre she was photographing. Mia can’t even remember being there, but she wired photos of the site hours before she was found. The two women resume their volatile push-pull when Mia’s well-meaning Californian mother arrives from the US, trying to help unravel what happened to her daughter.

    Honor, Remember, and Run for Freedom This Memorial Day, join us for the Memorial Day Freedom Run – a special event that combines a run with the powerful spirit of remembrance.

    Overview:
    Run will sell-out QUICK! We will close off waves the moment they fill up. If waves are sold out, you can sign-up for the virtual run option or wait list.
    This is a smaller, private group run with a cap per wave.
    All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome – Run or Walk!
    There’s no equipment or setup, this is a pure run with our coordinators to support you in a warm, stress-free setting!

    When you sign-up, we give you the support you need to help you achieve your goals and fitness. We also invite you to be part of our local run clubs that supports your fitness journey.

    1st Annual Capitol City Jazz Festival
    JAZZ IS BACK IN OLD SAC!

    The A.P.EX Group in conjunction with SACRAMENTO DISTRICT 4 are proud to announce that ”Jazz is back in Old Sac” with the 1st Annual CAPITAL CITY JAZZ FESTIVAL!

    This all-day, family friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Old Sacramento State Historic Park in the heart of Old Sacramento – 111 I Street / Sacramento, CA 95814.

    This event is free to the public and will feature local and international jazz artists live on stage. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and good vibes!

    There will be food trucks, vendors and a Beer & Wine Garden for the adults.
