Thursdays & 2nd SaturdaysBring your friends and enjoy a bit of the Middle East in Midtown!
We believe food, drink and community go hand in hand.
Classic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean flavors & outdoor seating draw a unique mix of people, local and international alike, to this neighborhood standby.
Kasbah is an oasis filled with rich fabrics and pillows, a hand made brass bar, warm, subtle lighting, and fine Middle Eastern music. A belly dancer or tribal troupe punctuate the ambience nightly.
We have chosen a menu of small plates because it lends itself to sharing and socializing at any hour. Whether grazing while drinking or sitting down for a meal, we feature many of the spices and flavors of North Africa and the Middle East. Some are traditional, some are creative – all are tasty and soulful, including a variety of homemade dessert specials.
We serve top shelf cocktails and offer a unique selection of interesting sipping spirits, and a selection of over 500 fine wines from around the world. Our Turkish Coffee and Mint Tea are the best in Sacramento. We also offer several other top-notch teas, all served in fine ceramics, pottery and glassware. Hookah pipes are available on the patio.

Kupros Craft House – Midtown
Posted to March 27th, 2013
Kupros Craft House is Sacramento’s premier craft-beer and full bar restaurant pub situated in a classic 1910 Craftsman home. Kupros was completely renovated in 2010, with the ultimate goal of creating a one-of-a-kind environment that captures the charm and excitement of Sacramento’s lively midtown neighborhood. We offer the very best craft beers and cocktails with an eclectic menu of elevated bar classics with a true hometown feel.
About This Old House:
Originally built in 1910, this building has seen a lot come and go. It was once formerly known as the vintage/costume shop, ‘Cheap Thrills’, which operated from 1969-2002.
The building was purchased in 2002 by CEO Stephen Tokuhama. Over the next 8 years, Steve dedicated himself to preserving the unique charm of the Midtown Sacramento area. Kupros Bistro finally became a reality in 2010, which coincidentally coincided with the 100th birthday of this unique structure.
In 2013, Steve decided to make the bold move to rebrand Kupros Bistro into the now popular neighborhood destination that is now Kupros Craft House. Today, features such as the stained glass upon entering and the wooden bar give the feeling that can only be described as your “home away from home.”

Fox & Goose Public House
Posted to March 27th, 2013
Note: Please visit our website for Holiday Hours and daily happenings!
Opened in 1975, Fox & Goose has become a Sacramento institution. Whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner…a glass of wine, a pint of beer or a cocktail…live music at Monday’s Open Mic, Pub Quiz every Tuesday, or our weekend’s many varied bands…the Fox & Goose has something for everyone.
The History of Fox & Goose Public House
For centuries pubs have been the gathering place for Englishmen seeking a pint of ale, a game of darts or a visit with old friends…in every way a true “public house.”
Located in the hometown of co-founder Bill Dalton, the original Fox & Goose has been in operation for over two hundred hears in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, a small town located near the scenic Moors of Northern England.
Sacramento’s Fox & Goose, although not nearly as old as the original, has captured the traditional qualities and added an atmosphere all its own.
The culmination of a lifetime dream, the Fox & Goose is housed in what was once the Fuller Paint and Glass Company. This distinctive brick building was constructed in 1913. Work on the Fox & Goose began in January 1972, with the grand opening occurring on January 15th, 1975.
Offering a tantalizing selection of the finest draught beers, most of which are from Great Britain and Ireland, fine wines and now, a full selection of liquors, the Fox & Goose remains true to its roots.
The varied menu, which includes traditional English dishes along with vegetarian dishes and American food, offers something for everyone. The Fox & Goose has a reputation as the “Best Breakfast” in Sacramento, as is seen by the numerous awards in this category in various local and national publications.
The Fox & Goose offers lunch, pub grub, and live music five nights a week. The award-winning “Open Mic Night” is a much-loved tradition which has helped launch the careers of many local musicians.
Bill and Denise Dalton worked tirelessly for years to create the Fox & Goose as we know it today. Since 1995, when their daughter Allyson purchased the business from her parents, the tradition has continued seamlessly. Her dedication to maintaining a location that provides a unique atmosphere, excellent value, great quality, and exceptional service was learned from her parents’ devotion to the same standards. She hopes to continue the tradition for many more years to come, and offers her thanks to the community that has supported the Fox & Goose for over 30 years.

We’re located at 3269 Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento, we offer a flavorful lineup of homestyle Mexican dishes, which include some not-so-typical selections — we savored the stuffed poblano peppers, a house specialty, filled with cheese, currants and pine nuts, doused with a roasted poblano sauce and served up with quinoa and whole black beans; and the enchiladas suizas (chicken enchiladas napped in a lively, just-spicy-enough tomatillo sauce). We also cater to vegetarians with our kitchen’s red potato, Swiss chard and black bean burrito and our grilled fish tacos.
Our salads are as pretty as a floral arrangements. They arrive in a large white bowl, ringed with leaves of butter lettuce whose tops bend toward the bowl’s center where lies half an avocado thinly sliced and fanned. Visible in the ring between the leaf tops and the avocado are strawberry halves, pinches of goat cheese. A generous scattering of sunflower seeds is also apparent. Out of sight are small slivers of fennel and thin slices of pear. Marina’s handmade citrus vinaigrette binds and defines the varied flavors.
Also intriguing is the aptly named This and That, with apples, mangoes, bananas, black bean, red onion, corn, jicama, red cabbage, romaine and raisin date dressing.

Perfect California Mexican food. Light and
fresh, crisp and tender, everything works…and without grease.Favorites include chicken tacos, and carnitas. Family-owned and operated, so be patient with these gentle people. The food is well worth the mild inefficiencies.
Just like home.________________________________

After eating here umpteen times and thoroughly enjoying every single meal, it’s safe to say Cafe Capricho has earned another star. I don’t know what I like better: their chicken, asada and shrimp burritos made with all fresh ingredients, their endless supply of chips and ridiculously tasty salsa, or the fridge stocked with huckleberry Two Rivers cider.
Life is full of tough decisions. It may take another umpteen visits before I know for sure.

Really loved this place. The menu had so many good things on it I had a hard time deciding what to get. I decided to order more than I needed and I took some of it home. I ordered the special butternut squash, corn, and pablano chili quesadilla. It was SO good. I also got the Baja Fish Taco. AMAZING! So good. But you know what I love the most? Their salsas! They were both SO good. And I don’t know what was in the red one, because it was sweet and spicy and delicious. They also had a great selection of beverages alcoholic and non. Next time I go I’m going to try one of their amazing sounding salads. I’m pretty sure everything on the menu is going to be good. I live 45 min away from here and I’m pretty sure I’ll make a special trip just to eat here.
