You`re invited to a special free screening of ‘Burning Injustice’ on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento! Join environmental justice advocates, legislators, and members of the Capitol community in watching the journey of Modesto Latino activists John Mataka and Bianca Lopez as they battle toxic pollution and health risks caused by one of California’s last trash incinerators.
This event is free and open to the public.
🎟️ Doors open at 5 pm and the screening begins at 6 pm.
🍿 Refreshments and popcorn will be provided.
💬 Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion featuring the filmmaker, stars of the documentary, and former Assemblymember Cristina Garcia, a trailblazer in environmental legislation.
